Welcome to Cheche's YouBakery
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Cheche’s YouBakery is more than a small business—it’s a dream built from family, cherished memories, and a love for bringing people together through food.
What began as a hobby in my own kitchen has grown into a passion for creating handcrafted cakes, Filipino breads, kakanin, and sweet treats that help make life’s special moments even more memorable. As our journey continues, we look forward to expanding our menu with even more authentic Filipino comfort foods and homemade favorites.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, gathering with loved ones, or simply craving a taste of home, thank you for allowing us to be part of your story.
Our Sweet Story
Every dream has a beginning, and mine started in 2017 with one simple goal... to make my family’s celebrations a little sweeter.
I never planned on starting a business. I simply wanted to bake birthday cakes and desserts for my children and family. I wanted every birthday, holiday, and milestone to feel extra special because it was made with love. My hope has always been that one day, when my children are grown, they’ll remember the homemade cakes waiting for them on their birthdays and the little details that made each celebration unique.
As I continued learning, I found myself craving the flavors of home, especially the Filipino breads I grew up enjoying, like Spanish bread, pandecoco, pandesal, and ensaymada. Living away from the Philippines made me appreciate those familiar flavors even more. Instead of waiting to find them, I challenged myself to learn how to make them myself.
Before long, my kitchen was filled not only with cakes but also with freshly baked Filipino breads, traditional kakanin, and recipes that reminded me of home.
Like many Filipino families, some of my favorite memories are made around the dining table. Food has always been our way of showing love, celebrating life’s milestones, and bringing everyone together. I’ve always found joy in feeding family and friends, and nothing makes me happier than seeing people enjoy something I’ve made with my own hands.
The Story Behind "Cheche"
Many people know me as Rachel, but Cheche has always been the name closest to my heart.
Growing up in the Philippines, my family, relatives, and friends called me Cheche. That nickname reminds me of home, childhood, family gatherings, and the people who have loved and supported me throughout my life.
When I moved to the United States, most people naturally began calling me Rachel. While I’m proud of my name, I realized how much I missed hearing “Cheche.” Every time someone calls me by my nickname, it instantly brings back a feeling of warmth, comfort, and belonging.
Choosing the name Cheche’s YouBakery was my way of carrying a piece of home with me. It reminds me where I came from and keeps my Filipino roots close to my heart.
The Story Behind "YouBakery"
One question I often get is:
“Why is it called YouBakery?”
The answer is actually very personal.
The “You” in YouBakery first came from YouTube.
When I first started baking, YouTube became my classroom. I spent countless hours watching tutorials, learning techniques, practicing recipes, making mistakes, and trying again. Every cake I baked taught me something new, and every challenge helped me grow.
As I continued learning, I found myself exploring more than just cakes. I began making Filipino breads, traditional kakanin, and other recipes that reminded me of home. With every new creation, my confidence grew, and so did my passion for baking.
But over time, the meaning of “You” became even more special.
What began as YouTube slowly became about you... my customers, my family, my friends, and everyone who has supported this dream. Everything I learned wasn’t just for myself. It was so I could create something meaningful to share with others and become part of your celebrations and special moments.
Growing up in the Philippines, I was surrounded by a strong sense of community. We celebrate together, support one another, and gather around food to create lasting memories. I was raised believing that sharing food is one of the simplest ways to show love, generosity, and hospitality. That spirit continues to inspire everything I do and reminds me that every order is more than just food... it’s an opportunity to bring people together.
That’s why the name YouBakery holds two meanings close to my heart. It honors where my journey began, while also reminding me who I bake for every day.
What started with YouTube eventually became YouBakery... a reminder that every dream begins with the willingness to learn, the courage to keep trying, and the joy of sharing what you’ve learned with others.

Built on Love and Encouragement
As the years passed, family and friends began encouraging me to sell the cakes, breads, and food I made.
At first, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I questioned myself and wondered if I was ready. But the people around me continued believing in me long before I fully believed in myself.
Their encouragement gave me the confidence to take the leap and turn a simple hobby into something much bigger.
Cheche’s YouBakery was built on more than recipes. It was built on faith, encouragement, love, and the unwavering support of the people who stood beside me from the very beginning.
More Than Just a Bakery
While baking is where my journey began, my dream has always been bigger than cakes alone.
Today, Cheche’s YouBakery proudly offers handcrafted cakes, cupcakes, Filipino breads, and traditional kakanin made with care and quality ingredients.
As we continue to grow, one of my biggest dreams is to expand our menu to include authentic Filipino comfort foods, frozen favorites, and catering for family gatherings and special occasions.
My goal is to create a place where families can find the comforting flavors of the Philippines while making new memories around their own tables.
Every new recipe, every new product, and every milestone brings this dream one step closer.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple:
To bring people together through homemade food, heartfelt hospitality, and authentic Filipino flavors that create lasting memories.
Every item we make is prepared with the same care, quality, and love that I would give to my own family.
Because if I wouldn’t proudly serve it at my own table, I won’t serve it at yours.
Looking Ahead
This is only the beginning.
As Cheche’s YouBakery continues to grow, my hope is to become a place where families can celebrate life’s biggest milestones and everyday moments alike.
From handcrafted cakes and Filipino breads to homemade comfort foods and future catering services, I want every customer to feel the warmth, love, and hospitality that inspired this dream from the very beginning.
